Vick return to football?

Why?

How many of us, if guilty of the same crimes, would be given our job back? He's a talented athlete. Okay, so what about a talented lawyer or accountant or doctor or teacher or pastor or plumber or electrician or anything else that really matters to society? Instead, something as worthless to the betterment of society as an athlete actually has a shot at getting paid millions of dollar after committing a despicable crime. Let me just say that I like athletics, I played them and I appreciate a great talent. But at the expense of acting like complete idiots, never. Why is it that the people who contribute the least to our society get paid the most and get the most chances to screw up? I commit a crime and my job is over. End of story. Perhaps we expect so little of them ethically and morally. And yet they have the most impact on the youth. How many young kids idolize a doctor or a police man. Not many...be honest, you know I am right. So the people we expect the least from ethically and morally (athletes, actors, musicians) are the people that have the most influence on the children in our society. If you don't see a problem with that then, sorry for this, you're stupid. I know there are a few of them that are good ambassadors to their profession, but please let's look at the big picture. Imagine for a second that a pastor plead guilty to dog fighting charges. Outrage! Call for his head! Yeah totally. But the same goes for anyone. If you think differently, stop and ask yourself why. Is the crime less serious because of who committed it? A police officer gets into a bar fight while off duty and beats another man to within an inch of his life. How about if it was done by an athlete or a celebrity. The crime is the same regardless of who commits it. Or would you like to tell the victim that the celebrity is going to get less of a sentence than if it was an average joe. All that being said, Michael Vick should not play football again. He had everything many people dream of and he threw it away. It was
his choice and he needs to face the consequences.
